"They say it's not the guy on drugs that gets hurt. It's the guy next to him. How can you put on a beautiful roof if you're worried about the guy next to you?"
Great Lakes Roofing Corporation was the first roofing contractor to be recognized by the state of Wisconsin, in the network for a drug-free America, to begin testing all employees for drugs and alcohol. When we first began testing in 1992, we lost half our workers. Only the best stayed; this put us on the road to being Great. When we drug-test, we are looking out for the best interests of our employees as well as our customers.
Our employees consider drug testing a valuable benefit to working here. When they’re working multiple stories in the air, they do not want to have their lives in the hands of someone under the influence of drugs or alcohol. When you trust your roof to a contractor, you expect them to be safe and act professionally. You can trust our workers on your roof operating machinery and equipment, knowing they are working with a clear head to give you the highest quality product.
Testing all employees ensures that everyone works smart; from the assistant entering data, to the managers sending the crews out, to the crews on the roof. Because of this, Great Lakes Roofing Corporation runs as a well-oiled machine with all parts in working order.
